The Little Things - Boulder Trip!

Last weekend we took advantage of the long weekend to take a short road trip to Boulder to visit our friend Stacia and her son (also our friend) Braiden.

We drove up on Friday and it rained and snowed most of the way there.  It was absolutely beautiful!

I couldn't resist taking a photo of this motel sign as we passed it!  How old do you think this sign is?  Wow!  Color TV?!  Really?  Awesome!!!
On Saturday we went through Boulder to visit Ward, the tiny mountain town that Stacia grew up in.  So cool and quirky!

On the way down from Ward we stopped at the Carousel of Happiness and enjoyed a few moments of...happiness :-)

Too bad Fish Girl and Tool Lady didn't have any fun ;-)

On Sunday we met Kelly (another friend) for breakfast and a tour of CU campus in Boulder.  Fish Girl is a Junior and starting to look into colleges...terrifying and so exciting all at once!

We wandered around Pearl Street for a while, did some second hand/vintage shopping and then searched for place to eat lunch (and 3 o'clock).  It wasn't until we sat down that we learned the grill we stopped in (because we were starving and it was there) had this whole Santa Fe theme.  Weird.  Oh well, the burgers were good :-)

It was fantastic to see Stacia and B and Kelly and it's always nice to have a long weekend, but it's nice to be home, too.  Bye Colorado!!!
