Thanks to Google, NASA and TIME (and Dani for alerting me to this post) we can clearly see the affects us humans are having on our planet!
Through TIME's new Timelapse project we can see stunning views of Dubai’s artificial Palm Islands, the retreat of Alaska’s Columbia Glacier, the deforestation of the Brazilian Amazon and urban growth in Las Vegas from 1984 to 2012.
The perspective shown through this project drives home knowledge that our actions on this planet have immediate consequences because, really, in the grand scheme of things, 28 years is not an incredibly long time.
So, if we can affect our planet in such negative ways in such a short period, what changes can be made over the next 28 years that will affect the planet in positive ways?
xoxo,
M
