Broody No More?

After several weeks of battling our broody Australorp and about a week and a half in solitary confinement, I think we're in the clear!

The laying of eggs (being a telltale sign that a chicken has forgotten her broodiness) began about a week ago.  After a few days and a few more eggs, we decided to move our latest Broody back into the coop to see how she would do.

I am happy to report that she is doing great!  She fell right back in with the other Ladies, is laying eggs regularly again and has had no broody relapses (unlike her sister did last year)!  WooHoo!

xoxo,
M

  1. Glad you got her "fixed", luckily we never had brooding problems with our red stars. But oh how we miss them now that we have moved to a smaller place!!
