Did you know that (no matter what is happening in the world) little hands, play-doh and baby chicks make everything better? Yep, they do :-)
Our journey to producing more and consuming less on 1/8 acre in the middle of the city. Urban farming, through keeping backyard chickens and a top bar hive of honey bees, practicing organic vegetable gardening, taking care of several fruit trees, maintaining a compost pile, canning and preserving our harvests and trying our best to do it all ourselves using reclaimed materials where possible.

Wonderful post. We have some dear friends who have an 8 month old baby and that little guy makes our world so much better. We can't wait to share play-doh and baby chicks with him in a few years. Great pictures by the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Children really are amazing...such a gift :-)
DeleteReally sweet post! It's true that baby animals and children make living fun!
ReplyDeleteAlways great to spend quality time with wonderful friends - adding in baby chicks is just a huge bonus! ; )
ReplyDeleteI did know about little hands, play doh and chickens, but then you've caught me on a day where Mr 2 is behaving like an angel. Tomorrow we could have Play do in tiny pieces trodden into the rug, vegemite hand prints on the walls and some very traumatised birds (he chases the ones at his sisters school). But even when he's naughty he's still cute.
ReplyDeleteYa know...sometimes they're even cuter when they're naughty...you can just never let them know it ;-)
