I did a Google search and found this recipe. It sounded great, but I was lacking a few ingredients. Now, Tool Lady is wonderful at throwing things together sans recipe...I am not. At all. Not only does it stress me out, but my non-recipe-food-experiments never turn out well. I decided to give it a go regardless. Not sure if I was just hungry or simply did not want to do my homework, but I dove in and winged it! Below is what might be a phenomenal recipe in the making :-) The muffins turned out a little sweet for my taste, but really good none-the-less! I hope you like them as much as we do!
Our journey to producing more and consuming less on 1/8 acre in the middle of the city. Urban farming, through keeping backyard chickens and a top bar hive of honey bees, practicing organic vegetable gardening, taking care of several fruit trees, maintaining a compost pile, canning and preserving our harvests and trying our best to do it all ourselves using reclaimed materials where possible.

Another timely post!
ReplyDeleteWe just hauled in our first harvest of Cuban Red bananas from the garden yesterday, so I'm looking around for recipes featuring bananas.
We have a whole grocery bag full of bananas, most of which are dead-ripe and the skin has split open, so we'll have to use them up fast. We've also got a stalk of Rajapuris that will be ready any minute.
I wish the berries were ready at the same time so we could make smoothies....
Wow...how wonderful to have home grown bananas!!! I would love to be able to grow our own bananas!!! Maybe some day we'll live in a place that will allow us to grow a few more fruits :-)
