2011 Holiday Craft Exchange

Last fall I signed up to participate in the 2011 Holiday Craft Exchange hosted by An Offering of Love.

Once signed up, we were randomly matched with who to make a craft for and who would make your craft and then sent the appropriate information.  Once your craft was completed, you simply sent it off and waited for yours to arrive (you can read about all the crafts that were exchanged here).

Now, I think we all understand how hectic the holidays can be, right?  There were moments when I was kicking myself in the ass asking, "What the hell were you thinking signing up for so many things?  Homemade gifts, craft exchanges, opening your Etsy shop...are you crazy?"   Whether it was blog related or other related, there was a lot going on in December!  Amazingly, I got it all done!  I sent off my craft (you can read about it here) and waited for mine to arrive (I really do love getting something in the mail that isn't bill or junk related).  I got an email from my crafter at one point explaining her own December madness, which, obviously, I completely understood.  No worries!

Then, at the end of a long day yesterday, I came home to find a little package in my mailbox!  It's here!  And it's beautiful and oh so sweet!

Isn't it great!?  I love it!

Look at the tiny stars!  Awesome!

Bionic Mama was kind enough to check out my blog and discover that I have this little thing for trees!  Yay!  I love it!  And while I'm super excited to put in on our Christmas tree in December, I'm half tempted to find a little home for it throughout the rest of the year, too...

There really is something special about a homemade gift, isn't there!  Thank you, Bionic Mama!

Please don't forget to enter my little giveaway!
