I have a problem. A growing problem. I want to grow everything and it's a problem. For real.
I went to grab a couple of bags of soil yesterday morning to amend a couple of our smaller beds and wound up walking out with the soil AND 9 packets of seeds. Yes, I said 9. It's a problem.
I got 3 different types of Winter Squash, Turnips, Radishes, Green Beans, Broccoli, Onions & Chard. I have never grown any of these items before and it sounded like it would be fun to try. Now I just have to find homes for them in the garden!
Tool lady always tells me I have an obsession with seeds and I know it's true. I just can't seem to help myself! So much potential inside of such a small thing just makes me happy.
Oh! Also, when I got home at the end of the day, Making It by Kelly Coyne & Erik Knutzen was waiting for me on the kitchen counter! YAY! I've been anticipating the arrival of this book since I pre-ordered it on Amazon about a month ago! I then made dinner (mac & cheese out of a box...I know...gross...and Oh, so good all at the same time), plopped myself on the couch and read the whole book! The Root Simple duo have been such an inspiration to me since I first read their book The Urban Homestead! I feel like I can actually do a lot of the things they talk about doing, which feels fantastic and super empowering.
Now, if I can just figure out how to stop spending so much money on seeds, we'll be all set!
Cheers!
