Looks great after just 2 months. The only thing I'm worried about is your corn. I don't think you have enough there for cross-pollination, so you may end up with very few ears or stunted ears. You really have to plant quite a bit.
Thanks for your concern! We have planted about this much for the past couple of years and it's been OK. We don't get a huge yield, but it's still pretty good for our small space and they seem to pollinate well :-) This bed is planted bio-intensively with sweet corn, bush beans and beets and they're all in there pretty close. It's a big experiment :-)
Now the pallet beds have been another story! I will do a proper post about them this week sometime since there are several layers to the silliness. Long story short, they are partially planted :-/
Thank you for taking the time to share your voice! Your feedback and perspectives in this space help it to feel so much less like a one sided conversation. I welcome and enjoy each and every one of your comments and will do my best to respond as quickly as possible. However, if you are here to promote a business or be unkind, please know that this is not the place to do so and such comments will be quickly deleted.
Nice! Those are some high beds! It's wonderful when things start to grow, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteOh, so incredibly wonderful! Now I just can't wait to start harvesting form them! ;-)
